Staples Latest Company Hit by Data Breach

The office supply store Staples recently provided details on their data breach which occurred earlier this year. The company first mentioned the incident back in October, but further investigation was needed. Point of sale systems in 115 stores nationwide were infected with malware. You can view affected stores here. Customers who shopped in these stores between August 10, 2014 and September 16, 2014, may have had their card information compromised. Credit Unions Beat Banks in Satisfaction

Not much of a surprise, but credit unions are doing an excellent job keeping members satisfied. Given our “members first” philosophy here at Aspire FCU, we’re thrilled to hear that. The American Consumer Satisfaction Index (ACSI) reported that credit unions scored an 85 in satisfaction, while banks were down at 76.
