Aspire FCU loves to get in the holiday spirit! On Wednesday, 12/21, the Clark branch held its Holiday Party right in the office, with a “Home for the Holidays” theme. Aspire’s fun didn’t just start and stop there; events leading up to the Holiday Party have been taking place since the beginning of the week. On Monday, there was a stocking guess (employees had to guess the unidentified items in a holiday stocking by touch), and on Tuesday, we had a Holiday Sweater/Sweatshirt competition (the most unique sweatshirt won).
The day of the party, Wednesday, employees participated in Holiday Headwear day and competition – holiday hats were a must. If caught without holiday headwear at any point in the day, the employee would be disqualified! There was also a baking contest. The winners were based on taste, presentation and creativity.
All winners were announced at the Holiday Party, and winners were presented with fabulous holiday-inspired prizes. Along with prizes came food, a “unique” ornament swap, and sing-alongs.
Our other branches weren’t without celebration. The Ronkonkoma, Northport, and Tracon branches met for a holiday luncheon and made a donation to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital instead of doing a secret Santa gift exchange. They also enjoyed greeting Santa at his arrival at the FAA in Tracon by helicopter and at Ronkonkoma by fire truck. The branch also gave out treats to children and promotional giveaways to adults and thoroughly enjoyed watching their happy faces as Santa presented them with gifts.
The JFK Regional Office and JFK AMB Logistics Center decorated their offices, and they anticipate a holiday dinner with their friends from Ronkonkoma, Northport and Tracon sometime in the beginning of 2012.
Throughout all of the festivities, Aspire made sure there was time spent giving thanks to our members. The Aspire team wishes you and yours a happy, healthy and prosperous holiday season and New Year. We look forward to serving you in 2012.
